Some of my favorite celebrities joined forces with Barilla’s Share The Table project and chef Mario Batali to highlight an important organization – Meals on Wheels Association of America.

Two of the pasta loving celebrities’ recipes I decided to test out are from Julianne Moore and Holly Robinson-Peete.

Find links to both recipes below:

This recipe is very healthy and compared to many other lasagne recipes much lighter on the stomach. The crunch of the asparagus mixed with the softness of the eggplant was perfect, add to that the right amount of sauce (which this recipe measures perfectly) and you get a filling meal which is at one time satisfying and good for your figure.

According to my Mr, “this recipe (for Penne Arrabbiata) is much better than most restaurant versions.” This may seem like very few words for a recommendation however coming from someone who absolutely loves Penne Arrabbiata and has only found one restaurant in the world that he claims cooks this dish correctly those few words are like cooking gold!

The texture was smooth, the flavors succulent, and overall this pasta dish was deliciously spicy.
